At Elite Dental & Orthodontics, we’re passionate on teeth whitening education. Our patients constantly ask us what we can do to help them get the perfect smile, but there are so many ways to make it happen. We will be writing a series on teeth whitening to help our patients learn what their options for teeth whitening are, what to avoid, risks, how to stay safe when whitening your teeth, and more. In part two, we answer the question: How Long Does Teeth Whitening Last?
Teeth whitening is not a permanent solution, but with your plan of treatment, you can make it last to the best of your abilities. When asking the question, “how long does teeth whitening last?” to your dental professional, you may be asked a series of questions:
- Do you drink coffee every day?
- Do you often choose acidic fruits and snacks to drink?
- Do you keep good dental health?
All of these things will factor into the period of time that your teeth whitening will last. For good oral habits, you may go more than a year before you need a touch up on your in-office treatment, for at-home treatments and habits that stain teeth more rapidly, you may see a fade in the whitening within a month.
